[Frozen Britain]

Am obviously hoping for snow for southside of Glasgow and East Ayrshire around Stewarton and nearby villages but I'm praying and praying, promising extreme penance and servitude for all eternity and doing deals with God, Allah, The Pope, the new Arch Bish of Canterbury and even the Free Wee for some of the white stuff to fall on BFT's house to cheer him up so he can use an excited gif thingy instead of flying teddies! I feel a mission coming on....

I'm not far from Stewarton, and it has been snowing heavily here all evening. I was in Kilmarnock earlier, and it was snowing there too.

Blizzard alert at Bearsden! Horizontal and fast moving snow, flickering lights and all surfaces all white....what will it be like in the morning I wonder? One thing this is for sure that this already beats Feb 2012 interms of a proper snowfall and another event that's brought a satisfactory covering.

This is like that famous night late on November 26th 2010. Such a long time since I've seen snow like this and I can confirm that my covering of snow has improved substanstially within minutes! I'm very happy!!

Apparently (and radar confirms this) very bad in Fife at the moment. Snow back on here as we're just catching the southern edge of that big line that hit Fife. Glad that Glasgow is taking a hit too, it's certainly waited long enough for it.

I've just seen two flashes over Glasgow!!!

Sounds like some 'interesting' conditions being had by some tonight so enjoy it. Nothing here so far and given the strenght of the wind driving the showers i'm a little surprised none have breached our mountain snow shield. Patience though as when the flow turns more northerly the snow shield will be bypassed and we should get our turn.

Not posted in a while. Some incredible conditions here Southside Glasgow very heavy snow for around 20minutes and lightning flashing something I haven't seen before so quite a treat snow and lightning. Cheers

crazy how much snow auchterarder gets when its a 10 min drive from here....it has the opposite of a snawshield whatever that is......a snawsucker???
