Snow finally back on here, very definitely snow this time, not quite lying yet but certainly trying fairly hard with a hefty line of showers moving across the central belt at the moment.

Are you there or here just now, LS? :)

Nowt precipitating at all in Sth Suburban Embra... :(

Here, as in Edinburgh. It was on but off again now, radar suggests more incoming from the west pretty soon although it seems to be dodging us a bit at the moment.

LOL, too far east in an easterly AND too far east in a westerly. You just can't win about here. I'm hoping the northerly redeems things a bit or it will go down as one of the most frustrating winters I can ever remember!

Just cycled home in a complete whiteout! Snow lying from about 110m asl. Good covering in a very short space of time!

A very impressive dusting in the northern borders , amazing penetration of showers given that I must be the best part of a hundred miles from the Atlantic.

That last one didn't quite manage to lie here and the heaviest of it seemed to just miss to the south but it looks like this could be setting in for hours looking at the radar. Some huge red blobs out in the Atlantic coming in now after this cell has passed (which will be another 30-45 minutes here)with perhaps time for some clear skies and further temperature drops before the next lot arrives.

Total blizzard here again! Wild and building quickly!

Amazing how quickly it's falling and lying now, must be about half a cm in the last ten minutes.

It's coming through Stirling as rain.....what gives ?

Must be an upper layer warm sector, though in fairness there's meant to be one right across the central belt and it hasn't done its job very well:

Very odd, Stirling and Falkirk had this problem last time too. Some kind of Forth estuary curse?

Couple of Text sized vids of the sideways Snaw.

Camera on phone is not great at all, but you can get an idea of the horizontal fun and the wind speed carrying the shower. This was from 20 minutes ago.
