The speed of these showers steaming through is something else, not seen a flow as rapid as this before, from west to east coast in around 1hr 45 to 2hrs judging by the movement on radar.

Looking west the conveyor belt just keeps on coming.. easily the best snow of the winter for here, another whiteout in progress.

yr.no loop is worth a watch too demonstrates the speed well, usually this animation is smooth, satellite not keeping up with the quick progression this time http://www.yr.no/satellitt/europa_animasjon.html

Funnily enough I have just been up Strathmartine Road to the North of the Kingsway. Snowing heavily and now a good bit more lying with side roads getting tricky. Back on lower ground here just about a centimetre and still snowing. 0.7C

Yeh an impressive flow when the showers are making it full length west to east. Aberdeen still slightly sheltered by the Highlands but your time will come on Wednesday. Small covering here. Good showers passing through. Fun evening coming up watching the radar. At least with the west flow, we loose the marginality issue of the east coast.

Enjoy

Wow! That last one kept going for 20mins and everything now white. Been on and off all day really, but just too wet to cover. Temp0.6c/-0.1c so if there is any more to come tonight then there won't be a problem. What I wouldn't give for a good few hours of that intensity! I could hardly see across the road at one point it was so thick.

Dry here at the mo and turning icy. Looks like some cloud out to the West. Anything happening towards Perth?
