Yeah was in Epping about an hour ago. Just down the hill on Waltham abbey no settling just slush on the cars!!

I just smashed my outside temperature logger with a hammer. I had been warning it all day that if it wasn't going to drop below 4c tonight it was history. So it has no one to blame but itself.

Temperatures falling more quickly now, from 2.6 to 2.3 in about 20 minutes. DP also fallen from 2.3 to 2 in that time. Sleet falling.

Edit: 3 minutes later Temp 2.2/ DP 1.9, promising.

Lots of people saying that the ground is too wet for snow to settle. If the ground temp hits zero, it'll start to settle quite readily.

Heavy snow settling on grass

So tempted to move back to Harrow. Rochester is the most snowless place on earth. It stole that total from Harrow when I moved down here, mind you!
