I'd certainly suggest the Downs, they'll have the most snow in the whole area, and will see the least thaw I suspect tomorrow.

I would say Ashridge forest. fantastic elevation and always get loads of snow, also a brilliant sledging spot

Oh well only a 2 mile drive west to see some settling snow tomorrow!

Coming down at a good clip though Paul.

You never know, a few hours of this and we may scrape a slight covering.

Just wondering how long itll take until we get the prats wheel-spinning on the road for fun... road is now white, cards are and snow is coming down heavy 50p+ sized flakes and a strong wind.

Wouldn't the 'Ups' make more sense?

Not if you're on a sledge! Still coming down nicely here and definitely starting to lay :)

No alterations to conditions still snowing, still

Temp 0.9

Dew point -0.1

No alterations

Dartford seems to have matched East Herts temp/DP pretty much all day.

In fact things have levelled off in past hour or so.

Could just do with increased ppn rate now.

Cant remember who was posting these dew point temps earlier, saw them at work. 0c line def. creeping further west. Meant to say London/North.

Only started settling on grass recently. Maybe the slightly higher position helps, and should start settling Leigh way soonish ?

Nowt on the roads yet though.

Yh just looked at me lamp post and it is horizontal heavy snow but just cannot get going on the grass or cars or shrubs, the road is a long long way from turning white

True, Goodmayes , Greater London possibly lol

I didn't think anyone still classed Goodmayes as Essex!

Glad it's snowing there though!

Moderate snow here in Colchester.

Light covering on cars, grass and roofs but roads still clear. Shocked considering how wet its been today.

This is turning out to be MUCH better than expected. All surfaces now have at least a dusting, with the grass, cars and roofs having more. Quite heavy, powdery snow falling.!

The lack of excited posts from the Croydon area says it all, not looking great here at the moment. I checked the Met Office WOW site about an hour ago and all the temps in the area were showing 2c, now all the temps to the south of me are around 0c, so maybe the cold is coming and things will improve. There is certainly enough precipitation.

Still snowing in this part of Croydon biggrin.png
