There's some intensification taking place across East Essex/Suffolk at the moment, could bring another spell of moderate-heavy snow just in time for rush hour!

Was snowing heavily here again about 30 mins ago, had about 6cm from the looks of things

Morning all...

Currently 0.3c, -0.1c dp

A small amount of snow did settle overnight - all the more amazing considering how damp it was... I will check but no more than 0.5cm I should think...

Huge flakes this morning made for an interesting drive to Meopham Station! This is the back garden just a minute ago. Not much left lying here though.

Got up snowing atm. Heavier band about to reach SE London. Wind now S Easterly ?? smile.png

But ...... "Matthew Hugo â€@MattHugo81

Snow risk looking increasingly transient with heavy rain soon following, but higher ground of Scot/N Eng still at risk in particular."

Getting heavier, looks like a heavier band approaching, this lot even settling where previous lot had melted. Keeps on like this could be interesting in an hour. Very little wind outside, plenty inside.

Roads and paths now starting to recover outside so is the car where the old snow had slid off, just underneath a darker red blob on the net weather radar, looks like we got heavier snow for around 1/2 hour. Temp fallen to 0.1 and so has the dew point to -0.7.

Sleet finally turned to snow at half 11 last night and got some fairly heavy snow just after midnight. Nothing at the moment but still a dusting from overnight a chilly 0.3c out at the moment. Hoping the snow to the east may stretch this far :D

Well its certainly been a sweet spot for continuous snowfall Tom, but I can only muster up 5cms of level snow.

Thanks for the warning Yam......about 3 hours too late dirol.gif

Fell asleep and when I saw the warning, I looked out of the window and went snow crazy yahoo.gifyahoo.gifyahoo.gif

Morning all!!

Glad to see some have had a reasonable snow event so far no matter how long it sticks around. Cold rain in Eastbourne turning to snow further into Mid-Sussex but not sticking or making any real impact. Biggest issue this morning was flooding on the A27 with one lane closed around Middle Farm and several inches on other back roads.

5p sized wet flakes here coming down steadily, but nothing settling, very slight wet covering on cars.
