Hey, cool FIRST

However I haven't much to write apart from it's quite a nice mild day with just the odd light shower. I shall resist using the s****g word tho.

Quite like the idea of a prolonged cold and showery north-easterly although my feet are stuck to the ground.

Well in addition to the "Kids Football Weather Model" and my recently introduced "Mother-in-law Weather Model" I can now add the "Running Weather Model".

I've just signed up to run the Balmoral 10K again this year at the end of April. There were many reasons for doing so, including wanting to beat last years time, being a lazy sod recently and needing the motivation, and wanting to shed some of the xmas weight. Of course now that I've forked out cash any subtle signs of spring will evaporate and we'll be plunged into another long cold spell that hinders any semblance of organised training.

Quiet out there today. Some showers but nothing major (only small patches of snow remain as I thought they would from yesterday) still might have next week to come................

Um, you're not the romantic type, are you?

Today is the 14th of February, not January! :)

Happy Valentine's Day to all the kilties!

Fair here at 5.8c. Max was 7c. Still about an inch of snow in the back garden and patches in the front South facing lawn.

Nice day here with few light showers in the late afternoon . Currently 5c Hills still hanging on to a lot of snow. A couple of photos across the Firth to the worst hit area of snow and blizzards yesterday on the A9 in Sutherland and Caithness.post-2744-0-44560200-1360865120_thumb.jppost-2744-0-29715700-1360865065_thumb.jp

GFS ensembles edging towards a more ECM like solution, e.g. as per the control in early FI.

Yeah, charts are pretty decent, not as much Greenlandic porn as earlier on the ECM but at least a bit of the Icelandic stuff on show (Bjork, for instance (?)).

ECM1-120.GIF?14-0

The ECM then gets incredibly mild for central London all of us towards the end:

ECM0-240.GIF?14-0

We'll see how it runs the morra.

Everyone's out romancing the models, in the hope they bring us some of the cold which they are teasing us with.

Speak for yourself, I was out with these babies:
