The south coast seems to be fairing quite well at the moment according to radar ?

Not often does it snow on the south coast!

A few snow flakes started to gather on bin lids and cars. Had to come in from the window as fingers are numb. Still snowing :-)

Local Isolated/scattered accumulations overnight and morning 1cm possible, light dusting or sprinkle more likely though.

Later Friday more snow showers in places+wkend

Saturday night a possible snow trough sweeping down could bring a widespread snow band.

Just got home to light snow- lovely flakes- very light falling slowley.

not much on the A2 back home, a few flakes on the hill up from the medway bridge past inn on the lake!

It may reach the Thames, but it isn't a Thames streamer due to the Thames not having any influence... A Thames streamer always originates in the Thames Estuary (or whatever estuary it may be) and, depending on the wind direction, heads inland with the warmth of the Thames fuelling convection, maintaining consistent ppn.

(But the addition of that wee clump of ppn might help add to convection)

Could do! then sucked up the Thames towards London. I expect this situation to continue with light snow around through Friday, maybe some heavier patches, then late Friday(today)and into early Saturday thats when things intensify and areas of Kent especially at risk of heavy snowfall. Snow becoming more widespread into the weekend!

Small grains of snow here in Wisbech, but we're talking blink and you'll miss them!
