Snow showers here for much of day, not settlng during the day, but recently they have got heavier and are settling on all surfaces with a dusting currently, Temps -1c.

Completely goes against my prediction yesterday, fool.gif

The shower has now stopped it will be interesting how quickly the snow will thaw, air temps are below freezing, but ground temps above.

No melting here Jackone one more decent shower to come then thats looks like it.

As with everyone else, snow showers on and off today. Tended to leave a dusting during showers and then melt when the sun came out. Got a max of 1.4c so very cold for March but not exceptionally so (had a day last April with 2.2c max and wet snow all day). Approx 5pm a heavier shower left more reliable dusting and a couple more showers have built this up to a covering of approx 1/2cm, across all surfaces including the main A483 when I popped into town half hour ago.

Showers are dying a bit now as the sun has set, may be a few more flakes tonight and over the next 2 days, but should be slightly warmer tomorrow NMM suggesting max temps in the 3-5c range for Wales.

Cold night tonight, -3.6c currently and feels it!

Really wasn't expecting much once the models had firmed up on the more southerly track of the low, but I woke up to a dusting of snow this morning and had a few snow showers throughout the day. Very impressive for a cold convective north-easterly here, the air has had to track across practically the breadth of the UK to get to my location - one of the advantages of being so late in the season with the stronger sun!

Snow on grass hasn't moved a jot, as Marcus says above bitterly cold around here, even Mumbles is at -1c, coldest night of "winter".

Most of snow on pavements has either blown/.sublimed away, with very low dewpoints.

Wont be surprised this week and possibly into the weekend, if we see snow especially Wednesday:

Light flurries all day, now mainly clear, bitterly cold with the wind making it even more so. It is currently -3.1c here in Pembrokeshire in the middle of March after a high of 1c this afternoon. Pretty epic, and a v rare event. May get colder min temp tonight than any night of the winter. Today was also the first day I saw proper falling snow all winter (not slush) but it was light and surprised it reached me anyway considering they originated in the n sea.

Indeed Synoptically this has been amazing 850HPa temps of -13c . snow showers by day in March right down to sea level, and every shower I saw today was snow, not the wintry mix you sometimes get.

Imagine this in Jan/Feb, also nice to see a proper frost for the snow to settle on as well.

To think it was 18c last week,

Prospects of snow arriving after midnight tonight latest from met .Looks pretty cold according to GFS all the March!

Tonight:

Another cold night with a widespread and hard frost and some ice. A few wintry showers feeding in on the brisk northerly wind, becoming more widespread through the early hours. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Snow flurries overnight, put down a sprinkling most of which has blown away!

Min: -4.6c suggests quite a lot of cloud.
