That was a lovely hefty blizzardy shower as some of you will find out shortly - and there's more on the way like that - so says the radar - we have a slight covering now and something to build on for the rest of the day

Just had the first meaningful snow in Newport. 5 minute blizzard (no exaggeration)- started to accumulate in the corners of pavements too. Bright sunshine again now, and it's all disappeared.

It is just a pleasant bonus to see snow falling today even if it's not enough to settle.

Blizzard 'esque' up here in Bargoed - 4 minutes and going white and blowing - stunning how this happened so quickly!!!

Nice to see even if it is the only one we will get today.

As I said, stunning!

Had some very heavy bursts of dry snow this PM in work (not far from Llantrisant). Didn't come to anything but was nice to see. The strong wind made it quite a blizzard, but very short-lived. Interesting times.... cold.gif

Swansea looking good for a hit of some heavy snow showers:Weather Radar - Live UK Rainfall Radar - Netweather.tv

If you see the heavier showers miss my locatio, however somewhere like Swansea are good from this type of flow with constant snow showers. Any accumulation there?

However we have had some moderate snow showers today.

Had a dusting earlier but so this soon melted looks like the heaviest shower of the day about to hit the mountains are covered to the north east taking most of the precipitation away looks like showers are fading away in a few hrs.Snowing heavy now hope it last more than 5 mins LOL. Now that the sun has gone down, the showers will unfortunately start to die out.

Snow showers here for much of day, not settlng during the day, but recently they have got heavier and are settling on all surfaces with a dusting currently, Temps -1c.

Completely goes against my prediction yesterday, fool.gif

The shower has now stopped it will be interesting how quickly the snow will thaw, air temps are below freezing, but ground temps above.
