Nice one! Didn't see the bbc forecast, not sure if this amount was forecasted

I personally don't watch the forecasts that much. Governor at Council has to use the MetO's info which is paid for which does help at times, but the governor knows my stance on my weather forecasts.

WOW is all I can say with the very heavy snow here right now............Simply amazing biggrin.pngyahoo.gifcold.gifclap.gifcold.gif

As much as it pains me to tear myself away from the radar , I need to get some shut eye, the hills are calling , Hope everyone who has missed out tonight can get lucky.

Mr.Yamkin,

If I get to Croydon too easily tomorrow, I shall want to know why! Alright for you up there in your Shirley Hills, with your 4 ins!wink.png

Ok, will Gravel Hill and Corkscrew Hill be open?

Cheers,

Tom.

Gritters have been deployed in areas you have mentioned ph34r.png

For those without snow wishing they were knee deep. Here I am in Sevenoaks with literally no power, no heating and freezing. The wind chill outside is about -8 and we have had blizzard conditions most of the day. The M25 is still moving at no more then a crawl past jnc 5.

Anyone who thinks this is somehow good should have a sanity check!

Very sorry, wishing you all the best.

Well we had 1.5 inches on the pavements in Croydon this morning but that was just grit.

Nice to see you had gritted Laud St. for once, shame there wasnt any snow!

Time for bed I think, its been an amazing day, ticked all the winter boxes apart from thunder! but I can wait for a nice sultry night in summer for that!

Good night all.lazy.giflazy.giflazy.gif

Oh dear that is unfortunate to have all that go off.

Hope it's back on soon.

Thank you, UK power networks are busy and will get to it when they can. I do have about 50v and the lights flashing on and off. I have enough power for my router, I got a little camper stove and a bloddy thick duvet :)

Only joking, Shirley does very well, you're right, compared to some of the other surrounding areas of Croydon.

Of course, Addington, does well also, which rises to 500ft or so, would you say Yamkin.

It's snowing like crazy here still -3.6c. Have a book at the BBC Travelcam for M23 Jct 11 - lots of cars stuck with lights off. How miserable. I hope everyone is ok....I think this will make the news tomorrow.
