So confusing in here, east anglia should be combined with the midlands thread IMO, it's more midlands than SE, I keep getting excited then realise people are talking about midland events!

SE and EA threads should just split. Not sure it makes sense to move EA in to Midlands. They are a funny bunch in the Midlands. LOL

They're playing Nik Kershaw The Riddle here in Costa Coffee at Stockley Park right now; seems rather apt for the weather prospects for the coming few daysrolleyes.gif

freezing here and we saw light snow in the breeze earlier, somewhere up the A143

Must be quite far up towards Bury then, it's been a lovely day here, unbroken sunshine, just a few cumulus coming off the sea now.

I really don't want it to snow on Saturday (at least the morning), got a young lady coming to visit me in Yarmouth :)

I expect a massive dumping as it's just my luck rofl.gif

The temp has dropped quite markedly here since lunchtime, car showing 3.5C just a minute ago! Few spots of drizzle but essentially dry so far.

RAMP ALERT:

Stonking upgrade for our region on 12Z GFS run. potentially, 2-5cms widely for central/western and northern parts early tomorrow morning. about 3-5mms of rain then in the late afternoon/evening, BEFORE A STONKING 21CMS OF SNOWFALL FOR CAMBS, FOR EXAMPLE. Bearing in mind that the ground will be wet, take a couple off that I would say, but even so, that would be immense.

Look at the snow/rain/snow totals by +51hours:

Crikey.

35cm for my area. No chance - maybe divide by two.

Thanks coast

Did a 4 hour run off road in the snow earlier in year but would be disappointed if there was lying snow on Sunday and they cancelled

Time will tell I guess smile.png

Now I don't know whether I want it to snow of not !

4 Hours?! ohmy.pngblink.png

I've kind of got model fatigue now TBH and I'd never thought I'd see myself posting that I'm just going to wait until whatever comes, comes!

I will say GFS is sticking to it's guns (and other models are now moving towards this) as it currently shows:

42_20.gif

48_20.gif

54_20.gif

60_20.gif

66_20.gif

It then shows it all gone on Sunday and Monday so who knows? Increasing risk of snow showers over all of our region in the next 48 hours then just cold next week???

Well I didn't expect something so severe straight after that near miss a couple of weeks ago which hit the Channel Islands. This will surely be the worst snowstorm of the winter IF it comes off.

Big if, even the most nailed on events have nearly broken down at the last minute; expecting a shift slightly North.
