Well, it started wet snowing about 11pm last night, it's still going now and with the small break in precipitation that's 11/12 hours of constant wet snow.

No accumulations apart from slush and melting as it goes, but my goodness, if it had all lay we'd have some serious accumulations.

I'd say about 5-8 inches so far if it had lay.

Good eight inches up here Watcher. Thicker in the drifts.

Wet snow now with the peak solar heights. Looking forward to nightfall.

Ice pellets mixed with snow falling on coast at Donaghadee. Some seriously high winds. Don't know what to expect here later.

Was up around New Line at Carrick earlier over towards Larne line. Some big falls there already.

It's a pity but definitely yet again a higher ground event.

Any ideas y ice pellets anyone?

Absolutely lashing it down here, too dangerous to go out imho. I walked to the local shops, approx 1/4 mile if that - took an hour there and back and I was blown off my feet. Everyone else I met en route had had a fall. Large flakes now, no let up whatsoever and the radar says there's a lot more heading our way. Take care everyone.

Lashing? As in rain or snow? I'm in Belfast (North) - snow at the minute ... not as heavy as earlier but still heavy - assuming it will be heavy again though ..

Snow. Most definitely snow, varying from heavy snow to blizzard conditions.

Absolute mental conditions in Carryduff. Blizzard.

Same here over on the other side of town MS in Glengormley, crazy weather out there. Just glad I managed to get home from work this afternoon although got stuck in the street and it was shovel time.
