Thanks for the updates folks. Not expecting snow here till maybe Saturday morning. Heavy rain and windy till then. Looks like the north (Ulster, far north Leinster) is going to get hammered next 36 hours particularly high ground. This is an event. I expect headlines from it whether snow or floods. Keep posting pics if yeh can! Keep us updated, And also any flooding elsewhere. Take care, brutal night. smile.png

This first front is moving through pretty quickly! Doesn't seem to be a while pile of precip behind it! Horizontal snow here now, just wish it was a bit heavier!

Outages already!! This could get quite serious!

Snow still falling here but is really light! Pepping up again on the radar! This could be a long night! Maybe just go to bed and hope that we have lying snow by morning.

Lights flickering away here! I remember when i was young in the late 80's there used to be plenty of power cuts. Remember my mum making the tea with an old pot on the fire! Lol!

Best of luck to all you guys up north, but most importantly stay safe as this is looking like it could turn out to be quite a severe event.

Wind howling here and lights flickering, rain has eased a bit after bucketing for the past few hours.

Not expecting any snow here till the front stalls and falls back south but I'm still very excited by the evolution of this rare event. Great posts on here tonight too, thanks for keeping us all informed.

Anyway stay safe and ENJOY!!!!clap.gif
