Storm definitely decaying slightly now!

don't be too reliant on radar imagery & ATD data, it's a lively storm!

It's looking pretty active towards Devon/Cornwall...still kicking out decent activity!!!

Looking quieter though across CNorthern France though with couple of weaker cells. Models though seem keen to generate more later though so fingers crossed. Oh and I think I've Wednesday afternoon off if something wishes to happen :D

Looking at the Sat loop also some dry slots in amongst the moisture bands which will help initiation....swear I can hear a cricket of some description also :-)

Dayum! This storm is going just out of sight of the SFCC Brunel Tower cam! Posted Image Anyone know any live streaming cams overlooking the storm?

Also seems that there is a second series of cells building behind the one about to hit the south coast. Either this or very convincing echoes Posted Image

something tells me - those situations that are borderline - often seem to come off -  yet other much more favourable scenarios often end up a bust

so I've high hopes for tonight, and tomorrow and less so for Wednesday

Looks like I'll keep my eye on that for the time being.

Interesting little trough feature on the latest FAX chart stretching from N Wales round to E Kent....should be a focal point for showers and storms tomorrow if it materialises!

Looks like the rainband is just hitting around Wembury/Heybrook Bay from my bedroom window- clearer oddly towards Plympton.

Come on!

Edit- it's really black towards the South Hams directly south of here

Its starting to look and feel very ominous here in South Ockendon right now.

I can see the leading edge of this rain band, but it's creeping so slowly compared to the radar!

Nice distant rumble then ('loudest' so far but still pretty distant and quiet of course) they don't seem very frequent at the moment though, and sometimes planes about to be annoying.

Edit: another 2 decent ones then that most members of the public should be able to hear and probably recognise as thunder.

Impressive number of strikes from the cell near Caen. If it can survive the channel that is likely to hit the IOW area (in a few hours time).
