Don't confuse the two - It was an MCS

Yes would agree with you on that Posted Image , as I said in the post 'it was a large MCS that hit Paris this morning'.

Was just highlighting that the radar signature for it was complex. The report below notes the supercell features.

A bit disappointed with the GFS 18z from an IMBY point of view but still the plume holds on for the SE. I just hope it isn't all over the continent by the time we actually get to Wednesday.

Sunday looking good for here Posted Image

Wednesdays action might miss us all together, but s ever in the UK, its often the surprise events before the projected day that are actualy more memorable

Beautifully organised now. This band should put on a show for some tonight. Just goes to show those who think CAPE and lifted index are everything.. look at the charts for where that band is starting to establish. Next to nothing in terms of CAPE!

That line is almost a continual band across the country from Cornwall to Suffolk with the thundery stuff currently within its western third.

The radar does look really well organised. I wonder if its going to intensify as it moves north.

Im back on holiday from HK, and based in the Ilchester Area, approx 5 miles north of Yeovil.

Seems to be distant lightning (around 6 strokes CG in last 10 minutes), approx 20-30 miles away, no thunder heard...so taunton was looking at you.

Pleasant surprise as was a clear evening, and this band popped out of nowhere.
