Jim Bacon on Look East likes his French Imports!

Whereas Peter Cockroft likes his showery rain!

Is it looking like game on for kent? It's lovely right now, sitting in the garden having cocktails. Obviously I'm not going to have too many otherwise I shall be comatosed by the time the storms fire up and il miss it all

Its going to be one of 'those' nights where its going to be hard to sleep.

Right now its one of those moments where I wish we were still connected to france via land, in these kind of set ups we would do so much better.

Working from home tomorrow which broadly means that I can do my 7 hours to fit in with sleep. I might even stay up all night and work through.

Being comatose by that time really rather appeals to mePosted Image  Someone can then wake me up when it is finished.

A rather strange thought came into my head that I would almost feel better watching the storms with a group of enthusiasts somewhere (and a bottle of numbing winePosted Image ) rather than being stuck at home on my own and it being dark. Typical and just my luck that the household is AWOL on tonight of all nightsPosted Image . Daytime is not so bad because there are places to go and people to see. But I am obviously not going to drive around the countryside like a madwoman in the middle of the nightPosted Image  especially with wine prescribed on the agenda.

Due to myself having had no phone / proper internet connection for the last 36 hours, I can't realistically check any charts (cheers BT grrrrrr) Nonetheless I'm looking forward to a lightning show in the early hours. :)

What's the chancing of things for brighton then people?? Posted Image

Depends when you're talking about. I think any imports will be confined to Kent, Essex and maybe Suffolk overnight but I reckon you'll be in a good place for storms during daylight. Could be a hunch, they've not exactly played ball yet.

In the last 30 mins there has been a decent development of heavy showers just to the east of Paris. They look like they are drifting this way.

The sun here has been constant for the past 30-45 mins considering the rest of the day has been cloud and sea mist  this is an improvement :) look out the front windows in my flat (west) its sunny then look out my kitchen window (east) dark skies :)

I'll be doing some 'ambling' for sure once I have parked the car. I might save the seafront amble though for after I have been to the bank as a soothing reward. That is a species of wild mountain goat with its kid found in the Firehills in the pic btw. Very very rare....Maybe I will come across one this afternoon Posted Image .

Evening all, Posted Image

Tamara,

You've found Eric/Erica, wondered where he/she got to. Masquerading as a Mountain Goat now, anything to get out of doing the gardening! Tut.

Anyway, surely that's Rhodes, not Rye, you're having us on. Posted Image

Jan, I see you're around, can you activate the Bromley Borough thunder shield please. We must be allowed a shield, 2 brontophobes in the space of a couple of miles of each other, surely we qualify. Posted Image

Tom.
