I can hear very deep rumbles of thunder every 10-20 seconds here.

Now that is one angry looking blob on its way across the channel, can hear it banging around like a gooden at the moment.

Will it stay strong for us as it makes the channel hop ?

Mornin each. Just heard a very distant deep rolling rumble and we have had some rain by the looks of it. Very humid and sky looks to be darkening over to the East ish.

So it looks as though anything could happen ( in the next half hour lol :) )

Good luck everyone. :)

That lot looks incredible watched back the satellite images of the growing storms over the lake, really thought they were going to stay electrical inland after getting over the channel! The "main event" tonight as TJ say's looking forward to that to! We now have the "tropical" plume arriving, it certainly will feel tropical today! we could do with a longer plume from far south pushing the storms all up into the north, it seems they are close but brushing the east side.. get the magnets out! lol won't need one tonight I can tell u!

Only my thoughts if they go east don't blame me! I need an electrical show its been 4 years this summer July/August.. although the 25th Dec was quite an incredible treat when an active storm turned up early morning was dark, but was sheet lightning.

Latest Precip charts suggest only those areas in the extreme SE will see anything significant overnight, certainly doesnt look good for areas West of London

I thought GFS had something central south? always the east side is highest risk, if the main stuff goes east side I still expect active cells across many southern parts early Thursday.

Just looked at radar as well looks like the South Downs killed the cells that came to the shore in Sussex typical lol

Good morning

No thunderstorms for me last night and the rain didn't really arrive until first thing this morning. There might be a chance of a rumble or two this morning as the front passes through, I'll check the pretty pictures and post in the appropriate place.

Some decent sunshine coming thru, should help build some cells if it lasts.

Hearing some closer rumbles here in Ippy and its raining. Sky looking dark over the East direction. I'm getting shivers down my spine every time I hear those angry rumbles. :D And looking at the radar it's pretty close now.
