Think I give up hope now.

Aylesbury has had naff all. A few distant rumbles and a couple flashes. Seems to have formed around us and moved north. I'm a major storm lover so it hurts Posted Image lol.

Your telling me, I live in Aylesbury too tonight has been very painful :(

I have made indications on this satellite image.

Over Wales and the west Midlands storms moving n/ne - Blue circle = multi-cell development, expanding.

Right of the yellow line east UK repeated storm developments/back building.

Bright green circles just on the south coast(west Sussex) and over north France, potential sudden thunderstorms to develop as hits inland areas.

Yep, and on that note I'm buggering off to bed. Waste of time staying up for this.

Saw some very infrequent, hardly impressive lightning, and it rained. Fantastic.....

Now can we have what Notts had or what Kent had or what Peterborough area had or what Worcester area is currently having....?

Boring Bucks.

You know its not gonna storm here when the planes flying into Heathrow airport fly directly over you lol

Im just to the south of Watford, seen a few distant flashes of lighthning in the last half hour and can now just about hear some faint rumbles of thunder which I suspect are from the storm ESS mentioned a while ago.

I could see lightning from about 11:30 until now so pretty much coming up on 5 and a half hours in all direction and none of it was here. hahaIm off to bed soon and I will be garanteed to be awoken by an almighty bang at some point because mother nature is a tease, she likes to flash her knickers at me but I get no more haha.

Finally worked the camera out (last time I had the chance was in 2010) so missed vast majority of the best bits, but got a few decent lightning pics to post later after I've had a few hours kip....courtesy of Mr Hanrahans remote release device....what a night!!!!

Radar going mental by the way...mass destabilisation underway as per the models!!!!

I got some pix :)

Typical I've just got back into bed and the lightning has significantly increased in frequency ... Might just get a few more before it's too light........

Radar looking very pretty still, nice pulses of red running up from the continent....
