This thread is hilarious - never have I seen so much moaning and despair on a single thread.

No sferics now for 9 minutes!! Was quite funny as it all just stopped as if someone switched all the storms off!

That's because the area of rain reached Thetford and said..."good grief, I've reached Norfolk, better turn off the blues and twos" Posted Image

On the plus side (and it's a teensy little plus) it's raining...

Just driven down from Cheshire to North Oxfordshire via M6 M40. Heavy rain and some surface flood water. People still driving at 90mph expect accidents to happen. Not seen /heard much thunder/lighting

Everything was bigger in the 80s, trousers, lapels, yeah storms...we even had big ears! Remember them well, watching to the south for the first flicker, all before tinternet reports etc..case of all or nothing and not even knowing just 10 miles down the road got clobbered :) All whilst listening to Duran Duran or Human League..

more lightning here too, lighting up the room yet a good few seconds between the lightning and thunder. Really humid, rain slightly heavier.

To be honest I think there is a much higher chance for something thundery tomorrow compared to today especially for southwestern areas northwards. Going by a lot of the forecasts I have seen there will definately be some pretty potent showers around so I wouldn't be suprised.
