Walk from Southwark Tube towards london bridge was fun. Thunder lightning and....count them 5 spots of rain lol. Still it was nice to see some lightning. Are we expecting more tonight for the region?

That cell over Brighton/S.Coast, looks quite nasty and travelling a fraction E of N. and pretty quickly too. A visit to my COBRA bunker looks a distinct possibility in the next half an hour or so. The cold front clearly visible on radar/satellite and just clearing east of Cardiff/Exeter.

Tom.

Yep and intensifying too. Some quality rumbles in the distance. Should be OH in 10 mins ??

Bright sunshine with a little cloud here, I can see what you guys over the Downs are getting, just about.

I've arrived at work now (London Southbank) and although the roads and pavements were wet, there were no rumbles of thunder.  Am so gutted I had to leave for work with that one rumbling over head at home Posted Image

It is very dark here at work though, so fingers crossed...!

Damn, thought I could here a rumble or two through the open window, but ti sounds like they are routing approach aircraft into Gatwick to the East over me and it was an EasyJet 737 not thunder!

First proper storm here since god knows when! First heard some rumbles around 7, then this storm started around 8.15, very dark with heavy rain. Thunder and lightning every 20 sec. Lot's of annoying low cloud unfortauntely so can't see all the lightning, but some good flashes now and again.

Looks to be one more storm on the south coast that has got my name on it and then we should see some sunshine!

Is it heading west London way?

Nope, everthing is heading NE so anything west wont get on the action.

Sadly naught here again...
