Had a pretty heavy downpour about 1pm here surprisingly, drizzle since, yet another 17c max day thus far, thought it was meant to be warming up??

Edit: Raining pretty heavy again now, bizarre as there's not much on the radar other than drizzle.

Unfortunately it Is difficult for this inherently warm air to be realised with all the cloud and moisture, it was lovely and warm here in the sun earlier.

A rather dank, damp, drizzly day and not especially warm either at a max (so far) of 17C. Disappointing springs to mind.

Still hovering at 17c here where it has done all day, in an ideal world the GFS cuckoo land of 23/24c and sunny spells would be possible tomorrow but the sun shield's back big time this month so 19/20c more likely.

For christ's sake, as if it's happened again Posted Image, slate grey overcast skies and the odd spot of rain! at least expected a sunny morning, deary me.

Haha unlucky, we had a gorgeous, warm and sunny morning here!

Light rain on and off all day, feels noticeably more humid but couldnt top 18C. Very poor "heatwave"!

What the hell are you on about. Since when was a Heatwave forecast? 18-20c was the Max today, perhaps up to 22c tomorrow. Do you say that just to over emphasise the cloud or just for more incessant moaning?

Its been dry here in leics last week or so since I posted.  No rain but also not much sun temperatures mild.

I noticed tho my room is suddenly getting warmer right now and it made me check on forecasts which seem to indicate warmer weather again so will see what happens tommorow.

the real heatwave type weather looks to be predicted around 21-24 august and the jetstream forcecast shows similiar to how was in july with it arching above the uk.

Another day same old story ugh, drizzle/spells of light rain and grey all morning yet again, only difference is it's warm rain today, 19.5c.

Humid and cloudy with occasional rain again, feels warmer but only average for August. Sun tries to peek out from time to time, but still no truly sunny day this month.

Same here, hovering around 20.5c after a wet morning with that fine rain that soaks everything and then some brief heavy-ish downpours around lunchtime, dry at the moment but any sunshine lasts less than 5 seconds, unsurprisingly 22/23c across the rest of the region with sunny spells.

Yet again, a whole world away from the Shropshire crap. A couple of showers here and there, mostly light but lots of sunny spells this afternoon especially with 24c! :D

Had some really really torrential downpours between 5-6am here, woke me up, heaviest rain of the summer!

What was the forecast today again? oh yeah 22/23c and sunny spells with any rain quick clearing away.

And the reality

Had 9mms of rain this morning in an hour.

Drains bllocked with the first fall of leaves this summer so the road flooded temporarily

Sun making rapid appearance now and temperature rising Currently just 20.0C

It was absolutely torrential, wasn't it? Glad I wasn't caught outside, lasted a fair while as well.

Brightening up nicely now however :)

It is attempting to brighten up now at least but still a dissapointment!

Thank goodness it's all change next week (as long as that shortwave doesn't screw things up), after 2 weeks of gloom even one sunny day is going to be a shock to the system.
