How warm could it have got with decent sunshine? Just a few glimpses between the low cloud and it reached 21.1c!

It has felt very mild today, here.

Very humid and warm day here in Falmouth! Bright in the afternoon at times though mainly cloudy. Must have been 20c at least.

Not surprising considering the cloud cover, clearer skies at this time of year would of given a cooler over night minimum.

Yeah and the upper level SW winds bringing the warm and muggy conditions from the Azores helps, too.

Utterly depressing weather.

It's actually slack windflow but the warm air is being dragged up from the South, from Africa, through Spain etc ..

Take a look at the T850's William.

Low pressure in the Atlantic is aiding the advection of warmth but the flow is not from the South West, it's more South to South East, it backs to the South East more as we move in to Monday.

Summer Sun has just put up the BBC forecast for the week ahead, North/South split by midweek and despite some shower developing, it stays on the warm side all week for our region.  Happy with that! Posted Image

Some sunshine arrived during late morning but then it clouded over again but temperatures reached 22C.

I am assuming that there will actually be some more longer periods of sun tomoorow compared to today?

Yeah, there will be quite a bit of sun tomorrow with maybe some wall-to-wall sunshine in places.
