hi jax

still chucking down here as seems to be effecting more south of london

watch that lot to our west

that will probably cause some gusty winds and heavy rain for all although hopefully

should not last to long

Indeed John, that line looks potentially windy but thankfully thin and short lived.

I was back last week but it just didn't seem normal.... oh well, holiday in Easter to look forward to!

That is the problem with this holiday, it is so isolated before and after by months and months from/to the last/next one.

Indeed, had to close the bedroom door to stop any extra heat from down stairs getting in else it will be a poor nights sleep, good news is I do not think it will last beyond Wednesday morning as the cold air should start to arrive (we hope).

Sounds like the wind is still gusting well out there, just heard "something" go up the nearby road with a clatter.

Not sure we could handle another '47 either, I like a cold spell and it does good getting rid of the bugs, but a '47?

Either a big gust or distant thunder just now, not sure which. It's not raining so must have been a gust. It woke me up lol.

Morning All, hope everyone fit and well, and for those that got their first day back at work / school hope it goes well, surprised when I looked out the window to see it dry out, still breezy but it feels mild. I off to the office today in Harlow so I would like light winds so the bridge remains open.

Talking about the bridge and the tunnel I was surprised to read that the government has stated that us locals only need to pay a fee off £20 per year from March, this replaces the cheap toll of 20p per crossing we have to pay at present as a present for the chaos and pollution its causes, also by October this year the toll booths will be removed and replaced by a London congestion charge type of system, this is meant to improve the traffic flow as traffic won't need to stop. Obviously this for locals I this is a good thing, although how they can justify any charge is beyond me, as if you believe the politicians when the bridge was built once the cost of that was recoup then it would be free, from memory that was over 3 years ago. That's my rant out the way, sorry.

Because of illness and holidays etc I won't have been to the office for three weeks, I bet they missed me :-) and to be honest I wished I wasn't going today, as I am still terrible weak, had trouble walking around the supermarket on Saturday as was very unsteady, I didn't realised how ill I have been. But you got to earn a crust haven't you.

Nice to see Charlton regain their proper position in life above the eagles!!!!! Must apologise Biggins but you got to admit it was to good an opportunity to miss, especially after the rotten year we been having.

Have a good day everyone.
