Utterly vile day, almost no sunshine but no 'lively' showers either just 12/13c and grey with the odd spot of rain.

Seems to be a recurring theme this time of year though anyway, usually picks up again in around 10-14 days time.

I'm sure some parts of Wales haven't seen any sun at all today, just rainrainrain and more rain!!!

And still, looking at the radar some beefy showers crashing into north Wales off the irish sea atm.

Thundery overnight with some heavy rain, but mostly dry here since about 10am [10:15am to be exact] , however a few miles north has been much wetter.

Some sunny spells here this morning and mostly cloudy since. Feeling cool though in the 60mph gusts.

Horrible night... horizontal driving rain, been raining off and on all day but more persistent now.

Good example of orographic lift over the Welsh mountains on radar

Showers are merging into longer spells of rain here this morning but not as wet as Buxton, a bit further north, where they've had 26 mm since midnight.

Very stormy last night with a lot of tree and plant damage visible this morning. The wind seems a little less this morning though. Hopefully a clearance soon with sunny conditions visible to the southwest.

27mm here since the start of yesterday, 55mm this month. Still fairly windy. Looks to be settling down for a bit next week before low pressure exerts influence again.

Really wasn't expecting a mostly sunny day when waking to overcast skies with showery rain, however since the sun broke through at around 11.00 the sky has cleared to a beautiful blue with scattered fast moving fair weather cumulus. There's a keen WNW wind and it's only 14.9c but pleasant to have been outside in.
