A few more rumbles here but light rain and not very dark skies so pretty underwhelming. So don't expect these storms to hang around long.

Your right there, no more that 15MINS here! Now a few spits & spots here and there, but mainly the skies are brightening up here now, alot sooner that i thought!!!

Showers just starting to get going over South Wales & Bristol area now, I wonder if that's where the showers are coming from for later!

The 'BBC News 24' weather graphics were showing heavy showers later into the evening for the Midlands.

Maybe I should be careful for what I wish for but, for once, it would be great to be under a thundery shower with a 250mm (or more) per hour accumulation rate... with extremely torrential golf ball-sized hail.

Had some thunder earlier, but like a few others, the rain was of mostly a low-quality - nothing particularly heavy.

One of the many chilli plants (76 of them) I have seems to have enjoyed the past few weeks.  :good:

This one is called Krakatoa F1.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh on my weather assessment earlier with some interesting looking showers intensifying South-West of here.

Well, what a rubbish day. Only a few heavy downpours this morning and nothing this afternoon. Showers have been close but none have been thundery. Bring on tomorrow.

Here's hoping..these little beasties seem to have a mind of their own :) Worcester way looks busy too..

Yep they do, especially when these beasties deliberately avoid you by about a 1cm to your South or something (lol). Not really heard any rumbly sounds from the current line of showers here, although judging by the amount of showery activity on the radar to the West/South-West, doesn't look like it's over... yet! :)

Had a potent little cell past just to the North of Broseley, some great CG's and intense rain that turned roads into rivers with over flowing drains. 2 Thundery showers in one day? Ok, who nicked Telford's storm shield?

Saw one flash to the SW and CC east all in all an very good day.

Now theres clouds building up and the odd anvil, the top which is coming from the east.

A couple of spots in Cardiff this evening, not even enough to wet the ground properly though. Come on rain/storms, get your acts together. :)
