7.4mm fell here, more than I thought. At least it should be a dry evening for my birthday, perhaps a rumble of thunder tomorrow? That would be nice. :)

Happy Birthday, Mapantz! I hope your wish comes true!

You maybe in luck!..... Looks light & patchy tonight, tomorrow doesn't look half as bad as they were forecasting and into the weekend, pretty much dry :good:

That's changed again from this morning, sort of anyway! Tomorrow these showers will be slow moving, sort of mulling around really, so if you do catch one it could be heavy and persistent, but some places won't get much at all... i think i'll be a day of the radar.

post-11006-0-87277800-1403814018_thumb.j  Edit; For whats left of it........HAPPY BIRTHDAY..... Mapantz.

Met Office quite generously splashing the thunderstorm symbols over us tomorrow. Lets hope they are on to something - a nice early Birthday present!

Light rain here in the land of Telford to, was pleasant this afternoon though coming out of work to hazy sunshine and 20c.

Overall it's been a rather decent June delivering two thunderstorms (which is more than 2009-2013 combined) and plenty of pleasant days in the low 20's.

Unfortunately it seems the luck of the generally good weekend's we've had this year is about to run out but it's been nice to have a month with plenty of decent evening's after work and generally March-June has brought some of the best weather at weekend's (Bank Hol May washout aside).

Indeed, a very pleasant June though for Falmouth an Outstanding June especially due to the almost continuous sunshine for almost 3 weeks and little rain and very warm by day and night.

The latest FAX chart says it all really.

Looks good but the biggest danger is too much cloud though. Has happened before when a lot of frequent showers have been forecast.

Blimey!!! You weren't wrong about the thunderstorm symbols everywhere.... Except poor old Telford

Could feel quite cool in all that rain.

Thick fog here after a short spell of rain during the early hours.

I'm tentatively hopeful for some heavier downpours this afernoon although recent experience indicates they are likely to be within a few miles but not actually here.

Heavy rain here since around 6.30 am that's just eased off, sky's lightened up. Bit of mistiness remaining. Given the garden a good soaking.

Bit of rain overnight, 5mm in total in the last 24 hours. Bit of sunshine up until now but going very dark from the south and expecting some more meaningful rain shortly.

It's hammering it down here :) but looking at the radar http://www.raintoday.co.uk/mobile this first lot of rain will clear soon'ish, then it's all eyes down to the South/West.
