Perfect weather today

Blue mostly clear skies.

But now there's a very tall cumulus cloud with a very dark underneath heading right towards us grr.

Surprisingly had no rain at all. There's dark clouds moving around my area but never going over us so we've been lucky so far.

Temperatures dropped a bit the last hour to 17 degrees. Never checked it earlier but must of been around 22.

1008.0mb and still quite pleasant with wind of 8mph

Even though I hate storms I still like to see them so I'm a bit bummed

MASSIVE grey cloud just came over and now it's hammering it down.

No thunder or lightening but really bad rain.

It all seems to be heading south from the M4 corridor at the moment.  Looks as thought we're in the firing line here, but no indication of lightning.

Seaton - sunshine and occasional cloud cover all day. Brief heavy shower around 8 pm ish but almost endless storms passing some 20 miles north. Some areas would have got a pasting!

A disappointing day convective wise with just one moderate shower, and not much on show cloud wise with a lot of low cloud at first then grey mid-high level decaying stuff, but this evening things cleared and did have a clearer view of distant CB's to the west with a small patch of a halo/ice bow visible in the anvil (not sure if that's the correct meteorological name) and some convection to the east which was some consolation:

Looks like it's the battle of the rubbish UKMO vs the rather lovely GFS for later this week.

Am also quite liking the expected temp rise into next week as the new month beckons - mid to upper 20s for some, is there even some potential for a thundery episode next Friday?

Agreed. We've only topped 25c twice so far this year here, and only once since the start of summer. Still plenty of time to go however :)

Dry, sunny and warm for the entire weekend. Not a single drop of rain fell, despite what BCC South Today like to tell you.

Yep, going to be a close call but 24C should still feel pleasant enough. First 30 and above July?

The mention of 24s & 25s this month, well June 2013 was very similar to this month, lets hope July is pretty much the same as last year and ill be happy :)

Well despite it being a no-show for storms here this time around, yesterday was a fine day with lengthy sunny spells and after a cloudy start today, it has also cleared up and is now warm and sunny at 20C. Not bad at all.

Well you never know.Anyway, only 1 shower so far today at about 08:00 which was very light and fleeting, it looks like being a very boring and dry day today.

Was nice this morning, but that nuisance cloud has reappeared in the last hour or so. Hopefully it'll beggar off again soon.

This month has been warmer overall than June 2013, but the absolute max hasn't been very much higher. Lots of 22s and 23s is fine with sunshine.

Yep, June 2014 definitely gets a pass mark from me. A repeat of last July - or especially July 2006 - would be lovely. With lot's of massive, slow-moving thunderstorms, of course  :good:

Another cloudy, cold, damp depressing day here. Not seen the sun since Wednesday. Signs of something a bit brighter in the distance. Fingers crossed, it can only get better!

Not a bad here, no showers, just broken cloud and sunshine, temp at 17.4c.

Temps this week could be on the rise, may be getting up to 25c/27c in places.
