Well the eclipse has started on planet Earth now. Just 15 or so minutes for the UK.

Dont forget BBC1 live for an hour from 9am to 10am. They have a plane up above the clouds over the Faroe Islands so should be a good shot!

Sat24 at 0800hrs, cloud beginning to clear here on the Wash, am quietly optimistic of seeing something at the peak.

Looks like clearing at home or providing a thin veil of high cloud helping you see the event, whereas here in Egham it's overcast of course

Thin cloud is probably the worst situation. You can't look up at it and you can't project the image. At least with thick cloud it will probably enhance the darkening effect.

Stratocumulus cloud here breaking allowing good viewing....the patchy cloud is acting as a good filter allowing a decent view

Caught it about 20mins ago for about 20secs in Brighton when the cloud thinned momentarily.

Still thick cloud here and showing no sign of brightening yet   Looks like we'll be lucky to see anything.
