INVOF?

My apologies, yes it means "in the vicinity of".

Already signs of showers forming along a line, I expect this is where the convergence zone is currently (from Liverpool to NW London). Forecasts move this zone slowly east through the day.

I have a day off today, is anything going to be close enough to me for a bit of a chase I wonder. I don't mind traveling a few miles but not sure I wanna go 100 miles unless a monster supercell worth seeing fires up.

Sferic in SW London and another between Manchester and Liverpool. Some light showers here now, getting heavier all the time. I am hoping for a storm somewhere in my locality this afternoon as Derby should be under the convergence zone early to mid afternoon time.

Leeds should be under it too as it stretches all the way from the Scottish borders to southern England. To be fair there has only been one storm this year in Derby and that was on the 25th January, all the other storms I have seen I have had to drive too. I may have to do the same thing today should they be elsewhere.

Good luck for this afternoon/evening though.

Some nice cloudscapes again today but it looks to stay dry all day, thankfully.

Ooh I'm starting to see things fire up reasonably close to me but I'm not sure to go out chasing yet. That may change though depending on storm intenisity.

Torrential downpour in Derby, no thunder or lightning though but it wouldn't surprise me if this didn't fire up as it moves SE towards Leicester.
