Towering Cumulus evident here, looking more promising today than any other day yet. Already having some heavy showers. Sun out strong in between.

Yay! A shower! Nothing here all weekend, but just had a nice sharp shower, dropping 1.2mm - 13.6mm/hr rate.

The temperature took a nosedive in the process!

Wonderful cloudscapes with the blue background, everything is glistening after the rain.

Very convective skies here - there are some particularly dark, moody clouds above, with rain falling - looks like the type of shower that will later develop into a storm.

Nice convection and scattered showers around. Im working delivering hire cars today so will be out and about. temp not fantastic 13oC. Nothing organised as of yet. Have camcorder fully charged just in case :-)

Yep seems like a good day today! Strong sunshine and towering Cu,with similar skies to the image that SnowJoke has posted. Its only 12:30 so lots of potential today!

storm slowly developing over us even looked like small funnel developed at one point.   Now dark there is rotation in this storm developing but being location it either move into the north sea or stay give us hosing.

Everything looks good so far.. 

 

Cape over the south east didn't look good till late afternoon early evening with cape much better over East anglia and Norwich (where the storms currently are) 

 

Nothing convection wise going up over me (West London / Reading ) 

 

But EURO4 shows showers later..

Left Bristol this morning with some decent cbs to the south and north but sightings on cbs have gradually decreased as I've come east to Egham. A lovely afternoon here with bubbly cumulus but that's about it so far.

Lovely looking skies around the London/Home Counties area at the moment - well broken Cu and lengthy blue skies and sun in between.

 

Hopefully come 2-4pm we'll start to see them blowing up into something a little more impressive  

 

Can't remember the last time I saw a mature Cb, let alone heard thunder.

Beaut of a shower here! Very gusty ahead of it, hail, then some heavy rain. I picked up several sferics at 6 to 12 miles, nothing audible though.

28mm/hr rate, 4mm fell in a short period of time, another large drop in temperature too.

Rain and rumbling in Norwich. All IC as far as I can tell. Several rumbles a minute.

Too close to reliably determine strength.

Lots of blue sky around here now, nice day really. All the showers that have formed so far in other parts today seem too closely packed together and all fighting for energy.Hoping as the cape builds further towards here this afternoon the clearer skies will help any showers become proper storms and not just passing thundery short showers.
