Thanks folks. Went out tonight again but the lights were quieter  but i got some amazing starry pictures with a hint of Aurora. These pics were taken at Mamore Gap and Tullagh Bay.

Just thought i would come on and share my Aurora pics with you all. Amazing display last night and only my second time photographing them. Quality sucked out of these as i had to compress them for on here.

Nice! Never seen them myself.

Low of -3.1C this morning, currently 13.2C, so a pretty good range of 16.2C. Beautiful weather.

Complete damp squib up here, very thick cloud cover meant you could see nothing.

During the first half of the eclipse the cloud cover was too thick here, during the second half the cloud did break a bit at times and so i was able to get a few quick glimpses .

Clouds mostly clear now, back to blue skies. Another mild Spring day on the cards.

I'm a weather and a mother nature freak/enthusiast...

So for me, the year has been a complete nope - still swearingi* disaster!!!

No ground snow (since '10): check

No aurora borealis:               check

Cloudy on eclipse day:          check

Hopefully the benign east coast misery ends soon. A roasting and clear summer would make amends! :-)

Yeah, twas a very nice spell of weather. Felt warmer than 12 or 13C in the sun, but it was the consistent blue skies that made the difference.

Just rain here. The top of the Galtees got a brief dusting yesterday. There is actually one large persistent snow patch that has remained on the south east slope of Galteemore over the last few weeks. Will have to keep an eye on how long it lasts.

I think the longest lasting snow patch I saw there was one that lasted into mid-May in 2010.

A pleasant morning after the persistent rain yesterday. A little cloudy, but quite mild at 7.0C.

The wind over the last day has been great. I sleep much better when it sounds stormy outside for some reason.

13.8C today, so pretty mild. Looks like some good spring like weather for the Easter weekend too
