Nowt at all in huddersfield looks like we're in a gap on radar. Rubbish lol

Its blowing so hard the snow flakes are sticking to the office windows.  Looking on the radar we seem to be in a slim line of showers that have merged hence why Hudds doesn't have any yet.

Looking at the radar then unless the wind will turn more westerly, we need to be looking for precipitation around Barrow and Lancaster here in Leeds. So we should get some in about an hour but looks a gap after that.

Moderate snow now falling. Sideways with that wind aswell. 2.6C with a dewpoint of 1.3c so don't think it will settle just yet.

Its mainly been hail so far this afternoon, snow now though. Not too heavy atm, but there arent any big showers near Sheffield yet. Got a slight covering so far. Temp down to 1c up here.

 

When are the showers pepping up? Not that much actualy on the radar right now, lots of gaps in the PPN. Im hoping for lots of heavy showers with merging and streamers!

 

At least the realy cold air is now arriving at this time and the suns gone which helps

Depends how westerly the flow is now. 

 

The last bunch of heavy snow came from the top of the Isle of White-Barrow-Lancaster along that line. If the flow is more westerly though then you'd need to look further south.

Ill definately need beer tonight lol. Ill be staring at that radar biting my gums weve got all night and tomorrow, meto website shows almost constant snow for Sheffeld from this evening until tomorrow lunch time
