Holy mother of god..

It's pretty much horizontal, almost true blizzard conditions and i usually call people up for using the word.

Dam. Hate my lack of height at uni. Birkenshaw usually does everybit as good as Morley where my parents are.

Just took me and hour to get from drig to Morley really bad on the main roads.

Hope the radar doesn't make disappointing viewing, I'm quite looking forward to an evening of snow watching! Hopefully it'll be a snowday at school tomorrow and I can play snowball with the kids. *crossing fingers*

Yes lets all get refuelled...and await the onslaught.  Stocked up on the hot chocolate and crumpets, and the big furry Rotties to keep mi feet warm . Although they will want to be out in it if it settles.

Actually was thinking of yesterday's output showers coming in round 7pm

Current direction where they are now. So just north or isle of man is where the line of leeds showers come from.

The winds switch more northerly around 6 am ish.

Soft hail and snow showers this afternoon, but not much settling. Working in northern Sheffield some of the snow was settling but looked pretty temporary and icy.

Back in Dronfield now but nothing here yet - hoping for a snowy night!

It's more luck that great modelling when they do get it right. This is a totally different scenario and even more unpredictable. The best tools for forecasting tonight are your eyes and the radar  :D
