The first band hung around for a lot longer than looked likely and still a few flakes coming down.

The second band could be even better and then the showers behind it.

Seems that the south of the region is yet again doing much better out of this spell. Very little of note from Durham up it seems (at low levels). Boro and Darlo seem to be having much more success.

Well i am not one to moan but when your lucks out your lucks out, it remained cold enough to snow but the band fizzled out on the eastern flank so a few flakes in the wind was as good as it got.  :wallbash:

Frustrating, ain't it? :(

BTW my daughter loves Redcar ever since we went on a fossil-finding mission to the beach there. :) Found some great fossils :)

The joys of living on the coast, i now have light drizzle, i am going to drive up to the moors this afternoon i need to see snow on the ground ha ha,

I think i will be on the wrong side of marginal this afternoon but use inlanders (not sure if that is a word) will have a better chance.

Nice to see other parts on the region getting snow

EDIT ITS TURNED BACK TO SNOW STILL VERY LIGHT THOUGH

The trough is very close to here now.  Sky going dark.  Could deliver a bot more than the last band by the looks of it.  Temp is 1.1c, but I expect that to drop once the ppn starts.....
