Had higher hopes for this morning's snow. Think those south of the region might have better chances but the northern element kept it more inland.

Can't win much with a northerly, north westerly. In fact the southerly winds from the midweek storm produced better thicker snow up here rather than this grainy affair. Good to see that lower elevations are getting it too though. Enjoy, I guess my expectations are too high from previous years.

Looking good for a decent snowfall evening/night (away from immediate coasts, although a wintry mix here) as an occluded front and a small trough push south through the region. The 'warm' sector (-5℃ 850hpa) over the north sea extending towards our region has been 'watered' down a degree or two so trending colder.

For some reason I cant post charts. :cc_confused:

Moderate snow now with some decent sized flakes chucked in ; hope this keeps up for a bit longer and then stays around for a while and doesn't melt! Now I have snow cover it's protection time haha

And going on the heavier side for snow now

Looking at the radar I think it will have cleared your area in the next 10 to 15 mins

I thought temperatures were set to rise to 3/4 degrees today but it's now only going to be 1/2 degrees according to MO so could well be snow all day

And it's turned heavy again!

Temp has risen to 0.5c here.  The trough to the north could develop into a decent spell of snow for some.  The inland ppn is being fed by ppm from the north sea so it could intensify inland as it tracks down the coast.......

Temps are forecast to rise to around 3c think its going to depend on whether the cloud breaks enough this afternoon to allow the sun to break through

Snow still falling in Darlo albeit lighter now not stopped since 9:15
