I think game over for tonight now as nothing settles properly anyway.

There wasn't really a game on, if you expect too much you're never going to be happy.

Yes..looks like a nice blob passed to the south of me by about 10 miles or so.........a nice streamer setting up to come right over us.....of clear sky that is...

Seriously? It has been snowing here on and off for an hour or so. Not that is has settled.

edited to say it has stopped now!

I went to look outside and stood right under a lampost and yes I could see some very fine and small flakes. Pretty sparse though...my car seems to have some raindrops on it so maybe a bit that melted?....maybe my lampost is too far away from the window...!

It's now clearing up, but absolutely everywhere is now soaking wet after several minutes of moderate sleety rain. Not exactly ideal if there is any snow popping up later! Oh well, this was never likely to be great for my location/altitude, so I'm not too upset. Hoping for better at some point before this chilly spell ends. :)

More non-snow (or non-sleet or non-rain) in Evesham ......    Not even as though we have cloudy skies to conincide with the false radar returns!

I bet its them gubment foksies in Tunnel Hill messing with our weather again!  :D

Nice to be sat perfectly in between two bands of snow

Judging by some reports, you're possibly perfectly between two bands of sleet! Not sure if that makes you feel any better...

Dew points have risen, as the wind is more WSW, so I guess the showers are picking up the warmer air from the Bristol Channel and Irish Sea.

The met showed all showers would be of snow in the Midlands.

It snowed here at 3.30pm. and was sticking.

Bloody typical! So frustrating.

  • April 2024 - Was it that cold overall? A look at the statistics

General perception from many is that April was a cold month, but statistics would suggest otherwise, with the average temperature for the whole month coming in just above the 30 year average for the UK as a whole.
