Loads of showers overnight, mostly sleet. Snowing right now though. Snow line starts about 30m up from me. The higher hills such as Clee Hill and the south Shropshire Hilss are completely white though.

Nothing overnight but light snow falling now. We've a dusting over cold surfaces but it's not sticking on the road. Temp 2.0oC, dewpoint -0.6oC. Cold wind but not as strong as yesterday.

Can't see anything significant happening now for the Nottingham area, looking at the charts the next realistic chance of anything wintry would be next Monday

Temp +1ºC & Dew Point 0ºC

Mixture of rain, sleet & snow (wet) on way to Telford this morning with only favoured surfaces getting a slight covering. It's going to take sustained showers to leave anything substantial. BBC R4 METO @ 7:57 said possibility of Cheshire Gap streamers today which is what is needed.

About 2cm of snow here from overnight showers, hopefully in for some good heavy ones today

There's the all important 9am and it's still on the ground, so day 2 this month and 3 this winter. Will we ever get 2 consecutive days? Suspect this will go as soon as the sun comes out...

This month is now snowier here than December 2009 which some people from other parts rave about.

MetO updated my area for heavy snow all morning. Looking NW on the radar I see we have incoming! There's a lot of precip pepping up heading this way. Might get a dusting out of this.

Where's your area?

Well the Cheshire Gap worked its magic on the City of Nottingham, Snow to the north of us & snow showers to the south but bugger all in the middle for us. (is that a song LOL)

Disappointed & although it is forecast to remain cold, I don't see any real snow opportunities for Nottingham in this cold snap
