that should play into your hands actually, as the colder air undercuts the mild,  marginality as passed, what we need now is precipitation, but it looks like by the time we get the same type of snow as manchester it will have moved away lol

the snow is more like powder like this afternoon, looking at the outdoor security light. which is not a bad thing, because powder is much easier to accumulate then big fat fluffy flakes (unless like here every where is soaking wet, in which case big fluffy snowflakes will accumulate with heavy precip...which usually indicates wet melting snow :p but not sure how long is left, but what a time for it undercut with the cold when its almost gone lol

Certainly can't complain here, an added 2cm ontop of whats already fallen with the Polar Low, just on it's NE fringes but the accumulation is building up nicely.

A covering in salford

you see , more snow :p you did much better than i did.

at the rate this is now moving, id be surprised if lasted another 10 minutes, pity it is not stalling lol

normally we should see anywhere from 10/30cm of snow from these polar lows even right at the coast, but thanks to warm air being shoved eastwards, we where left with moderate to heavy rain at times, then about an hour ago, colder air started to undercut this system as it made landfall, and places which did not see snow, have now seen it.

the next thing is people need to be careful with ice forming. even if you cannot see it, if you go out, you could land badly and end up in hospital...be careful!

I feel for ya fella, its broke our drought anyway if its stays around a bit, but the way things are going though and the way it feels, this could just be a taste of things to come. I do think we will all cop for it at some point especially with what the models are out putting (I do need to catch up on model watching).

Still purely of rain here.. and what make it even more bizarre is that there is a blackbird parading it's song around.
