Evaporative cooling at it's best. If you've noticed, there's not A BREATH of wind outside, that's the reason it's snowing and not raining. Evaporative cooling at it's absolute best. It's 0.2C out there, but as soon as the PPN moves away it'll all melt unfortunately, unless the skies clear.

There's no way you have 12cm in St.Helens. 1.2CM yeah.

well once this lot clears, we should actually see clearing skies.

i bet stoke has done really well from this, much better than us.

snow becoming lighter, another few minutes and it will end i suspect.

Well at least most of us if not all, got some snow cover if only for a short time, which is better than stephen's horrible rain hahaha

is it my imagination or is that band of snow across scotland pepping up and moving towards the west as it moves south? I been watching it for a while, and just seems bigger than it was before and it seems to be heading this way, but slowly

Not sure anymore. We usually do OK from these situations but today has been quite surreal

Lol 12cm at Manc airport?? 0cm here. FWIW 12cm would be the most snow I've seen, ever.

You have no snow at all?
