So when are the cold uppers meant to be arriving? Tomorrow... Morning or afternoon? Thanks!

Tonight in to tomorrow, going by the NMM.

The precipitation type shown is based on the previous run and will not match up precisely as it is simply a guide based on the varying snow-making parameters at given timeframe. That is what I remember hearing about it anyhow. Best guide is to look out of the window in reality.  :D

So it was a waste of money then based on your last sentence. Fantastic lol

Confirmed when I looked out the window this morning......unlike some unfortunate people we did get some........rain.

OMG how unusual, like my colleagues are here oh this board, it's about time we moved on, this was a very hit and miss affair from the outset, for some it has delivered, even cooler air.

Looking out over the channel I see blue sky patches, trying to break through.

Flippin heck, I must have been tired last night! Set 2 alarms for 7:30am to check the radar and I slept right through them!! Only just woken up and I see the snow we had has vanished!!

Is that expected to come south?

Yes. There's fairly good agreement on an area of rain/sleet/snow slipping south, courtesy of a front which is part of a small area of LP out in the North sea.

It could get a bit breezy down that East coast, it'll feel rather raw!

Anyway, don't take the precip chart as gospel. But, as I said, certainly another dusting for many by tomorrow morning.

Looks awful for the west country.... Dry...

I am sure some ppn will make it into the region once we have some warmer air mixed in.

Oh you can take that as a given, 100%!

One thing is for sure, the south West has no problem having upper air temps, Dr's etc conducive for snowfall in winter, our problem is getting any precipitation overhead at the same time lol

After having a look at various charts, I've come up with a rather clever map of areas that are unlikely to see anything wintry ..

Joking aside, that's actually how it looks..

Why did i bother turning on the computer, see the Met Off have removed my snow warning for tom and monday.

Typical and expected but sad all the same.

Don't think i'll look on-line much more this winter, can't be arsed with the let-downs.

See you all next winter :)

Don't forget, a warning is for weather that could be problematic. It's still possible that many could still get something wintry without it causing any issues.

Yep - I'm looking at the charts for the next week now and expecting to see nothing on the ground by the end of it after all. Any easterly will be too tame, systems in the flow look too far west now, and the straight northerly is no good east of devon/cornwall.

It's going to be another let down. One of many, many, many such moments. :-(

For us on the Isle of Wight this winter is on par with last year. Had 15 mins of snow 2 nights ago. Overhyped but I suppose the weather does what it wants to do!

Look at new snow warnings on met lol

Those unlucky sods in between

Basically it seems there is an increased threat of light snow during tonight.

Possible 1-2cm for some areas. Up to 5cm higher ground.
