Tomorrow certainly looking like a bit of a shock to the system, at least to us in the south, where the summer has been generally dry.

I really pity those who have chosen next week to go in holiday in miserable old Blightly. Its set to be the worst week of the summer so far and a throwback to the dreadful summers of 2007 and 2012. But things are looking up for the turn of the month.

although it hasn't been as bad so far as 2012.  the overall average temps have not been any better , slightly skewed by those 2 very hot days at the beginning of july , this summer is going down the pan as a duffer,  august will have to be a good one to rescue it,  but with that cold atlantic its going to be a hard call ,  RIP summer 2015

Tomorrow will bring the first decent rainfall for many weeks around here. Long overdue.

You can keep it, looks horrendous here, washout but dry nights

It is deffinately looking ominous at the moment that the rest of the summer will at best be better than what we have been having.August has a shocking reputation in recent years and I cannot see it changing I guess this could be another year when September will deliver the best weather of the summer !!

It's wet but certainly not windy around here, like a mill pond out there!

What a totally utterly miserable wet day.

Luckily MTV crashes event was dry until the end last night. A good day to just watch the Tour De France on ITV4

errr they are predicting 15c on sunday add on the wind and rain should make 8c "hopefully"  that's the  26th of July for ya absolute shocking..at least the weather forecasters have not mentioned  its "slightly below average today" even they cant find positives with this current set up..

I find its laughable that April can be more settled and feel warmer  than the entire summer itself...They keep predicting a better august. from my experience once the rain sets in.  in this patern ,its pretty difficult to shift..

Yes that sounds about right. This next week looks nothing to write home about, with rain forecast almost every day

And that still leaves a month of summer to go does it not?

It is remarkable how frequently shocking weather coincides with the schools breaking up, it's been a pretty good summer in the SE but today reminds me of 2007

Im very happy that i managed to book a holiday when the weather was at its best at the start of the month. There have been some nice days since then but this month is fast descending into a borefest after such a promising start. Very disappointing. Roll on Summer 2016.

Had a bit of patchy rain today, but besides that the temperature has been stuck at 15C. Good grief, what a contrast today is to 24 July last year:

Could be worse stuck on 15c Jan 24th 2016 ?

Don't you love the British weather  :sorry:

Summer's not over yet but the fat lady is certainly walking out on stage. It just won't happen at all this year. I endured May's NWerly rubbish and June's boring nothingness only for the plume on the first of July to fail so horribly (cloudiest SErly ever). Since then any hints of heat reloads from the continent have slowly evaporated and we have succumbed to cool blandness, with the outlook being even more disgusting. I'm fed up having to close the window in the evening because it feels so cold. This is NOT summer.
