That's because it's been grey all day :-( Just more of that useless mid level muck that invariably turns up at the first sign of any heat.

Some pretty sharp showers blowing through the hills and valleys here this afternoon.

Just arrived back from a BBQ with some friends (with typical BBQ weather), and there is a very big moon in the sky tonight. Very atmospheric, very "Hound of The Baskervilles" look to it.

Be nice to see it, a touch on the cloudy side here to be fair though the last few nights it's been good and how bright that full'ish moon has been :D

Not too bad temp wise today (ie it's approaching the average for time of year) but still far too much cloud, seemed to be clearing around lunchtime but then went grey again. Weeks since any day that could reasonably be called clear now.

Was plenty of variable cloud earlier, seems that the southerly breeze as picked up and helped clear the cloud now with long sunny spells :D

Also feeling fairly warm in that sunshine tanny.gif Currently 24.4c

Some high level cloud today but didn`t spoil anything today and a sparkling sunny day and warm SE wind perfect for drying today after a very dodgy start first thing with light rain 21.4c max

Yesterday was not so good with those sharp afternoon showers after a reasonable morning.

Nicest day for quite a while here, with plenty of (mostly hazy) sunshine and a max of 23.6 °C. Actually warm enough to sit in the garden in a T-shirt after 6pm, despite the inevitable 2015 Summer Wind.

Mind you, it would be nice if we could actually get more than one day like this at a time. The forecast doesn't hold out much hope of that this week, and the MetO further outlook isn't exactly amazing either. Not as bad as it has been recently, but it looks like the wait for a truly summery August in the Midlands will last at least another year.

Clouded over a few hours ago, light showers here now.....But who cares!!!  it can rain as much as it likes during the evening/night :p

Today overall was a great day, especially for Sunday  8) The forth coming coming week don't look to bad either

A little bit of sunshine earlier, but back to cloudy gunk. The forecast suggests that we're in for (yet) more gunk this week. It's not appalling weather in the 2007 or 2012 mould, but it's hardly what I want from early August.

It's boring non-summer weather in the 2010 or 2011 mould. This summer has so far just been a colder version of 2010, with odd bits of 2009 and 2011. The amount of cloud today was ridiculous considering there's no convection about and the low is hundreds of miles away. Temps of 20-21 are better than 14-15 like we had a week ago, but it still doesn't feel very summery without the sun.

Suddenly gone very black from the SW in the past hour, and gone muggy yet- nothing. Just that wind again.

That was some interesting mid-to high level showery virga,it did give a few big spots when I was out then.
