winds eased ,still raining hard ,was driving to Dundee tomorrow ,but leaving it till next week now ..

Looking at tomorrow's forecast, if you get to Glasgow and switch the engine off, the wind should blow you to Dundee.

shame she's not the forecaster for Nome Alaska......

She was make a lot of the coming weekends rain though and if any comfort could be taken from her forecast, she didn't say "at least it will be mild"

The weather warning has been issued here:

YELLOW EARLY WARNING of RAIN for north Wales, northwest England and southwest Scotland.

Issued:1053 on Thursday 12th November 2015

Valid from: 1500 on Saturday 14th November 2015

to: 0300 on Monday 16th November 2015

A frontal system is expected to become slow-moving across parts of northwest Wales, northwest England and southwest Scotland. Rain associated with this feature is expected to become heavy and persistent, especially over hills exposed to the strong westerly flow.

Flooding is possible either from standing water or from rivers which have remained high after the large rainfall totals seen in these areas over the last few days.

Just had the squall line, very heavy rain, thankfully the intense period didn't last too long... and as other have noted above, it could just be the starter to the main meal with regards to rain in the coming few days.

rivers will be wild in and around the lakes !!!

Sure will!! And as I mentioned earlier it's the 6 year anniversary of the 2009 floods... Although a repeat looks unlikely, the Met Office did mention a possibility of up to 200mm in some places so lets hope that risk diminishes!!  :help:

The very heavy rain and strong winds have eased couple of for sale signs down and a couple of branches.

Hopefully the rivers can cope with what is coming this weekend
