This island quite possibly has the worst climate in the world. Roll on the summer

Agreed, our seasons are just getting mashed together!!  In August we were getting dull, drizzly days with temps of 12-15 degrees - we had better days in December!  Roll on Summer 2016 - I'm off to the USA for 4 weeks, i'm sure I'll see a proper summer there!

Still seems to be just drizzly here.....

Our climate here just seems to be turning into 10-15C, cloud and drizzle all year round. Heat and cold never reach these parts any more, even when the synoptics are right and other parts of Europe and Britain get them- see winter 2011/12 and 1st July last year. It's like we've been moved to a small island out between the Azores and Iceland. I wonder if the melting Arctic ice is to blame- warmer winters up there mean less cold northerlies, the south flowing cold water means cooler duller summers. But why only the West of the UK, that's what I struggle to understand.

Well I'm bored of holding out hope, doesn't look like much is going to happen. If it snows it snows, losing the will to actually care now.

To boot the potential for anything Monday/Tuesday is fast vanishing, looks like another week of sunless grot now before the mild muck returns Thursday/Friday.

See y'all in Spring

Some precip intensifying, as the winds have steered a little bit. esp over mid to north wales. Its just clipping the cold low uppers but hey, you never know.

everyone keep the faith , my father passed away 3 years ago tomorow, it snowed , me and my sister love the snow , so we agreed our dad had made it snow as he passed so we wouldn't be as upset . I believe he'll be back tomorrow to say hello

The main bulk of the stuff isn't even due here until around 7-10pm. Give it a chance.

If you run the radar you can see it's already hit the cold air wall up north and is starting to edge westwards.

I think we'll be alright for a dusting tonight :-)

yep a slider low. Always looks like going too far east then pulls back West.  seems to be heavier then predicted in the north

Snowing here again but it's so sopping wet outside that it just seems pointless.

Feels more like snow we'd get in late April.

Met office still predict rain and sleet for here in Tipton - but heavy snow for places like Sutton Coldfield..  hmm.   I really can't see how I will get anything out of this though, its just not that cold outside...  damp squib.

Is it just me or is the PPN way further East than originally forecast? Really bad news IMO because that means the mild sector will be further East. Looks like it could be an East Midlands event i'm afraid.
