Bloody cold out , anyone at 10,000 m asl will get snow :)

No it will die out just before it reaches there just like the area crossing Lancashire has done.

Rain just starting here,as for the rest of the week expect the hills in the region to have a white covering

by weekend.for lower ground I would not rule out snow falling,as for settling that a total different ball

game, but any overnight PPN and then there could be a few surprises.

Trying hard to snow now

Looks more like sleet really but I live in hope and it's still it's better than cold rain.

Stood down from lamppost duty, and maybe I could try and convince myself there were a few sleety deposits in the mix, but it's mostly rain and wetting the ground as rain.   Already feeling a little warmer than it did earlier this afternoon.

Wrong side of marginal, as seems to have been the case all winter.

Yep, not sure even the highest tops are getting anything other than wet sleet probably.  Starting to sniff a little interest on Wednesday, if those showers prove heavy enough and the NW winds dig-in but it's all very marginal and looks again to favor the tops of high ground.

The latest models are pretty good for snow potential here. Hopefully just for this once in this horrid Winter it will snow properly!! :)

Yip, last chance saloon wed to fri for us lot.

As i suggested in the mad thread, places with elevation look good thur night, very borderline as almost always but certainly potential for a covering by fri morning, i would say places with 300m its nailed on, 200m likely, below that toss of a coin.

Im working thur night so its all nighter for me anyway :D

Nailed on are you sure?

Did we not have the same issue two weeks back with the models

Chopping and changing with that slider.

The reality was it missed the UK all together,i dont think

This will be sorted out until tomorrow night at the earliest

Even Fergie said last night that the Met Office will not put out

A public forecsst out until Wednesday,i hope this morning

Models care correct at ee can ALL join in the fun,and it not

Just a 250m above event

Not sure about that, altitude will play a part imho, as it almost always does, esp at this time of year, ecm brings a fairly hefty area of precip over us thur night .

Its our last chance i reckon so fingers crossed :)

Just watched Carol Kirkwood's forecast and it is showing a band of snow affecting Wales/NI and moving into NW England tomorrow morning. If this still showing it by 9pm tonight I have confidence and excitement. :)

We shall see! The latest Met warning only covers north of the border.
