strange watching the progress of those showers across the country.

the two areas came off the Irish Sea almost holding hands but then had some sort of tiff with the main one making a run for it in an easterly direction into North Yorkshire.

the other one set off at a snails pace southeasterly across Lancashire but then seemed to stop off either at macdonalds or for a pint and hasn't moved again since.

Was a good shower lasting a good ten mins with proper snow. I was just in the right place.

Going to need a magnifying glass soon, the bigger blob heading this way seems to be reducing in size. It's pretty sad to be still watching this on the radar like some sado when it will no doubt evolve into 1 hailstone hitting my window. Note to self *Get a life Alan, Winter is over*

I agree it's bad but still better than watching the Brit Awards.

thinking about it though even watching mild drizzle is better than the Brits......anyway it's snowing here, only light but it is sticking.

Oh of note is that this morning I recorded the first air frost of the winter, but there was virtually no frost and no ice... It only went below 0C for 10 minutes. -0.3C was the low this morning.. typical moderately elevated coastal benign-ness

Well as expected the shower disintegrated by the time it reached here, not that I was expecting anything different.  Should get very cold overnight, probably on a similar scale to last night.

Time to give up on this weather malarkey. Finally get some precipitation and it's rain. It has nothing to do with the time of year either, sun went down hours ago.

Only in the UK can you have -7 uppers, the lightest of winds and sub zero dew points and still get rain.
