Could be a little runner coming off the Irish sea on Wednesday which could give a sprinkling of wintry stuff.  Will probably disappear by the time we get there.  We look to be locked in for a chilly spell to see out February, but quiet in the reliable time frame... any fun and games if they happen will more likely crop up next weekend.

Nice to have a bright morning with no rain! Currently 4.2c so chilly in the breeze. Depending on cloud amounts there should be some decent weather on offer this week with frosty nights and sunshine by day, feeling quite pleasant with light winds in any sunshine.  A month or so ago we'd probably be looking at some widespread very low daytime maximums.

Beautiful sunny morning with a slight frost on my car. As I drove to romiley you could see the fog over lower lying areas to the east. Looked very pretty.

Pressure isn't high enough. There's no cap. The sun is strong enough to create convective cloud, it won't remain sunny all day. What a shame! Just means that Spring is almost here!

Barely a cloud in the sky here! Lovely. It was -1.2c at dawn but up to 5.2c now and feeling pleasant in the sun and out of the breeze, still some bits of frost on the grass where the sun hasn't touched yet but disappearing slowly.

Min last night was 2.5c here but only dropped below 5c after 02:00

After a chilly start of -1C it has been a nice day with plenty of sunshine. The sun is beginning to get enough strength to cause convection now so some cloud has bubbled up through the day but not spoilt things too much.

Felt positively springlike today, the early morning nip is not lingering too long with the sun rising earlier each day.  There's a renewed push of colder weather to dig down overnight, will be frosty again, but so far as that bitter wind progged for the weekend stays away to the south, it should still feel pretty decent in the sun during the day.

a band of showers spreading south tomorrow evening,this has been picked up by most models

in the last few days.

Manchester Airport TAF also picking up the potential with Rain/snow showers tomorrow evening

No weather at all on the Liverpool TAF, just winds/clouds .  Maybe the forecaster has forgotten to add it in lol. 

Edit -  actually looking again,the Manchester TAF is valid up to 24Z and the Liverpool one only goes upto 18z so that's probably why.

I posted this in the moan/banter thread yesterday.

 

To Throw In The Towel

 

To quit:

This phrase comes from boxing model watching.

When a boxer snow fanatic is too beat up to continue,

his coach he or she throws a towel into the ring at the PC to signal that the fight winter is over!

 

I'm done with this pathetic winter I really am.

Hope you all enjoy the summer (the one week of sun in May).

To good health and see you all next winter :hi:
