On my arrival home I was informed that had snoed heavily for about 1/2 hour and settled there is still evidence in the shade let's see if the showers make it here later!

Euro4 showing no snow accumulation across our region tonight, which would suggest the showers might die out. Then again no model is infallible & it is currently snowing across some higher areas of the region right now in North Lancs.

Still got a tiny patch of snow at the bottom of the drive from this morning's surprising heavy shower and looking at the radar,  it may soon get a bit of a top up although looking at the alignment, we may be right at the top edge of what is crossing Lancashire.

Some light snow flurries this morning. Confused by this afternoon's radar as it showed a heavier pulse of showers working through here around 3-4pm yet on arrival back home the ground is bone dry?? not sure what happened there.

Another cold day with frost lingering in very sheltered spots.

Tomorrow promises to start on a sparkling frosty note again.. we are clocking up quite a good number of air frost this month now.

Dry as a bone here, although there was a Hoar frost this morning so there most have been some moisture in the air.  No showers affected my postcode area today but did see a bit on the m60/m62 cams.  Not expecting anything tonight, but hopefully a frosty start to tomorrow.

Providing it doesn't die out, you should see something from the showers crossing the region at the moment.

Looking at the direction, your probably in a better location for it than we are.

Possibly but they are dying a death and not moving very fast.  It will probably mock me and deposit 1 solitary snow flake in about an hours time, that will sit on the car bonnet all night in ridicule at our desperation for snow.

Agree about the speed they are moving,, looks about walking pace and is definitely passing south of here.

not bothered really though.

I don't know why I'm watching this painstakingly slow shower on the radar haha

Monitoring the progress of an ever reducing lump of sleet/slushy shower drag itself across a small sliver of north west, just about sums up how snow starved we are.

Edit: Half time in the football time for a brew, maybe when I return the blizzards will set in...  but then I'll just have to re-tune the TV.

Somthing rather disturbing about getting excited about a city sized blob of  mild cloud ,I guess quiet desperation is the English way.

But life is long and your are young and there is time to kill today...
