aaahhhhh well that’s 4 hrs sleep, should be enough.

where we up to ?

If it rains i’m giving up.

X2 sliders missed then this may all be too much.

How much will evaporative cooling play a part ?

Back to sleep or stay up hhhhmmm?

Its moving in rapidly now. Everyone in the Midlands thread is asleep though so not going to have an idea of whats falling there other than from myself. Presumably rain but if it is sleet or snow bodes well for this area.

Ok I’m back. Temp had risen a bit but is dropping back again now. Still only 0.6°C. How long have I got?

Everyone please calm down! This will be just another let down like any other. Keep your heads screwed on - why do you put yourself through this?!

The north west of England sits on the receiving end of a mild Atlantic. The vast majority that live here apart from higher ground receive mild wet winters. We are not geared up for major snowfall - it is a rarity. Get a grip!!!!

The rain band is bringing some quite obvious temp and dewpoint rises with it.. might be very brief spell of snow for western parts of region. Equally it could be freezing rain/ice pellets.

I can confirm it is raining here

Rain with a DP of -0.2 and a temp of 0.8C at present. Doesn't bode well.

I think further north and east will do well.

Above 200/250m will do well

i’m Too low down and too close to the coast. Might get a slush fest when the heavy stuff gets here.

Moderate rain. Oh dear i’d better start on my sock draw.

I’m quite surprised though, was fairly confident it would be snow. .
